Fragments of Structure
Some structures are built to last.
Others begin to disappear the moment they are created.
In this work, geometry emerges like the remains of an unfinished architecture — partially revealed, partially erased. Layers are compressed, scraped, and weathered until the surface begins to resemble a fragment recovered from time rather than a newly painted image.
The composition moves between order and erosion. Sharp lines attempt to organize the space, while textures, abrasions, and oxidized tones slowly interrupt that control. What remains is a tension between construction and collapse, precision and instability.
The work reflects on the fragility of the systems we build around ourselves — architectural, social, even emotional. Structures may appear solid, yet time continuously transforms them.
From a distance, the painting feels minimal and restrained. Up close, hidden layers and subtle reliefs reveal a more complex history beneath the surface.
A quiet meditation on structure, memory, and impermanence.
