Our Transparent Commission Process

1. Consultation & Concept

We begin with a conversation about your space. You can share photographs of your wall, architectural layouts, interior color swatches, or reference specific pieces from Sergio Aranda’s past collections (such as the Panot patterns, industrial rust oxidation, or monochromatic gesso topographies).

2. Scale & Visual Proposal

Once the concept, color palette, and custom dimensions are agreed upon, we provide a digital mockup showing how the artwork will scale within your room. This ensures absolute visual harmony before the first layer of gesso is applied to the canvas.

3. Creation & Behind-the-Scenes Updates

Sergio Aranda will handcraft your piece in his Barcelona studio using structured gesso, fine sand, and natural sawdust. Throughout the 4-to-6-week creation process, you will receive exclusive photographic updates from the studio, keeping you intimately connected to the birth of your masterpiece.


Commercial Terms & Conditions

To ensure a professional, secure, and seamless gallery-grade experience, all global commissions adhere to the following international trade standards:
  • The 50/50 Payment Structure: A 50% non-refundable deposit (retainer) is required to secure your place in the studio schedule and purchase specialized archival materials. The remaining 50% balance is due only upon final approval of the finished painting, prior to crating and shipping.
  • Timeline: The standard creation timeline is 4 to 6 weeks from the deposit date. This allows for meticulous multi-layer material build-up, authentic iron oxidation curing, and essential archival varnishing.
  • Final Approval Guarantee: Before the artwork leaves Barcelona, you will receive high-resolution videos and photographs of the completed piece. We ensure you are 100% in love with the depth, character, and details before shipping.
  • Insured US & Global Shipping: The final balance includes 100% free, fully insured worldwide priority courier shipping (FedEx/DHL) in custom-built heavy-duty wooden crates. Every commission arrives safe at your United States doorstep accompanied by an official physical Certificate of Authenticity.
