The Concept & Architectural Harmony
This original mixed-media artwork from the Urban Grids collection explores the visual relationship between Barcelona's most iconic landmark and the city's distinctive urban structure.
At the center rise the unmistakable spires of Antoni Gaudí's Sagrada Família, emerging from a soft atmospheric background rendered in delicate watercolor tones. One of the world's most celebrated architectural achievements, the basilica stands as a symbol of creativity, innovation, and Barcelona's unique cultural identity.
Beneath and around the cathedral unfolds an abstract interpretation of Barcelona's famous Eixample grid, transforming the city's rational urban planning into a poetic geometric landscape. The orderly structure of streets and avenues becomes a visual framework that connects architecture, memory, and urban design.
Complementing the composition is an elegant fragment of a modernist façade inspired by the architectural language that defines Barcelona's historic streets. Rather than depicting a specific building, this architectural element evokes the spirit of Catalan Modernisme through its decorative stonework, ornamental iron balcony, and refined craftsmanship.
The result is a balanced dialogue between monument, city, and memory—between the organic verticality of Gaudí's architecture and the ordered geometry of Barcelona's urban grid. The artwork celebrates the unique identity of a city where visionary architecture and urban planning coexist in remarkable harmony.
The Artisanal Process & Fine Cotton Paper
Created in my Barcelona studio, each artwork begins as a hand-pulled serigraph on premium museum-quality fine cotton paper featuring beautiful natural deckled edges.
Through a process of artist intervention, I individually enrich every piece with watercolor, acrylic, and archival inks, creating subtle variations in texture, atmosphere, and depth. Layers of transparent color, delicate washes, and carefully controlled details transform each work into a unique mixed-media creation.
No two artworks are ever identical. Each piece evolves beyond its original foundation and develops its own visual character while preserving the architectural precision of the original design.
Far beyond a conventional edition, every artwork is individually enhanced by the artist, ensuring that collectors acquire a truly distinctive work with its own presence and personality.

- Exposición e iluminación: Aunque el barniz de archivo ofrece protección UV de alta gama, recomendamos encarecidamente evitar la exposición prolongada a la luz solar directa y fuerte. Para apreciar plenamente las sombras cambiantes del estuco escultórico, exhiba la pieza bajo una iluminación ambiental de alta calidad o con focos LED dedicados para arte.
- Desempolvado y limpieza: Debido a su rica textura orgánica con incrustaciones de arena, el polvo puede asentarse con el tiempo. Nunca use agua, limpiadores líquidos, paños húmedos o solventes químicos en la superficie. Para limpiar, barra suavemente el relieve texturizado utilizando un cepillo seco, limpio y de cerdas suaves (como una brocha de maquillaje de primera calidad o un pincel suave de hake).
- Humedad y temperatura: Los lienzos de arte fino prosperan en ambientes estables. Exhiba su pintura en espacios con humedad y temperatura controladas. Evite colgar la obra de arte directamente sobre fuentes de calor intensas (como chimeneas activas o radiadores) o en habitaciones con mucha humedad, como baños pequeños y sin ventilación.
- Manipulación: Al mover o colgar su obra de arte, sujétela siempre firmemente por los bordes del bastidor de madera. Evite presionar directamente el centro del lienzo para proteger la tensión estructural y los delicados relieves minerales en relieve.
