The Concept & Barcelona's Architectural Identity
This original mixed-media artwork from the Urban Grids collection explores the powerful relationship between Barcelona's most celebrated monument and the city's distinctive urban fabric.
At the center rise the unmistakable spires of Antoni Gaudí's Sagrada Família, one of the most extraordinary architectural achievements of the modern era. Emerging from a soft atmospheric background, the basilica stands as a symbol of creativity, innovation, and Barcelona's unique cultural identity.
Beneath and surrounding the cathedral unfolds an abstract interpretation of the city's famous Eixample grid, transforming Barcelona's rational urban planning into a poetic network of geometry, memory, and movement. The structured layout of the city becomes an essential visual element, connecting architecture and urban design within a single composition.
Complementing the scene is an elegant fragment of a historic modernist façade inspired by the architectural language that defines Barcelona's streets. Rather than representing a specific building, this architectural detail evokes the spirit of Catalan Modernisme through its decorative stonework, refined craftsmanship, and ornamental iron balcony.
The result is a harmonious dialogue between monument, city, and memory—a celebration of the architectural vision that has made Barcelona one of the world's most admired cultural capitals.
The Artisanal Process & Fine Cotton Paper
Created in my Barcelona studio, each artwork begins as a hand-pulled serigraph on premium museum-quality fine cotton paper featuring beautiful natural deckled edges.
Through a process of artist intervention, I individually enrich every piece with watercolor, acrylic, and archival inks, creating subtle variations in texture, atmosphere, and depth. Layers of transparent color, delicate washes, and carefully controlled details transform each work into a unique mixed-media creation.
No two artworks are ever identical. Each piece evolves beyond its original foundation and develops its own visual character while preserving the architectural precision of the original design.
Far beyond a conventional edition, every artwork is individually enhanced by the artist, ensuring that collectors acquire a truly distinctive work with its own presence and personality.

- Affichage et éclairage : Bien que le vernis d'archivage offre une protection UV haut de gamme, nous vous recommandons fortement d'éviter une exposition prolongée à la lumière directe et intense du soleil. Pour apprécier pleinement les ombres mouvantes du gesso sculptural, exposez l'œuvre sous un éclairage ambiant de haute qualité ou des projecteurs LED dédiés aux œuvres d'art.
- Dépoussiérage et nettoyage : En raison de la texture organique riche et incrustée de sable, la poussière peut s'accumuler avec le temps. N'utilisez jamais d'eau, de nettoyants liquides, de chiffons humides ou de solvants chimiques sur la surface. Pour nettoyer, balayez délicatement le relief texturé à l'aide d'une brosse sèche, propre et à poils doux (comme un pinceau de maquillage de qualité supérieure ou un pinceau hake doux).
- Humidité et température : Les toiles d'art fin prospèrent dans des environnements stables. Exposez votre tableau dans des espaces à humidité et température contrôlées. Évitez d'accrocher l'œuvre d'art directement au-dessus de sources de chaleur importantes (comme des cheminées actives ou des radiateurs) ou dans des pièces très humides comme des salles de bain petites et non ventilées.
