La bellesa de l'espai buit
En l'estètica japonesa, el silenci mai no és buit.
És un espai on el pensament, la memòria i l'emoció troben el seu lloc amb naturalitat.
Edo abraça aquesta filosofia mitjançant una composició continguda en què un únic fragment d'un autèntic diari japonès emergeix sobre un lluminós camp blanc. Més que convertir-se en el protagonista de l'obra, els caràcters impresos esdevenen un discret rastre del llenguatge, una cosa que es recorda més que no pas es llegeix.
L'ampli espai negatiu permet que la composició respiri i convida a una contemplació pausada, lluny de qualsevol interpretació immediata.
Un diàleg entre el paper i la llum
Realitzada íntegrament a mà al meu estudi de Barcelona, l'obra combina acrílics professionals, gesso estructurat, compostos minerals, fibres naturals de fusta i un collage elaborat amb un autèntic diari japonès.
Les subtils capes de textura projecten delicades ombres sobre la superfície blanca, mentre que el paper integrat aporta ritme, contrast i memòria cultural. La composició transmet equilibri, tot i mantenir-se deliberadament incompleta, reflectint la sensibilitat japonesa envers l'asimetria, la simplicitat i la bellesa serena de la imperfecció.
Més que representar el Japó, la pintura captura una atmosfera inspirada en la seva filosofia artística.

- Dusting & Cleaning: Due to the rich, sand-crusted organic texture, dust may settle over time. Never use water, liquid cleaners, damp cloths, or chemical solvents on the surface. To clean, gently sweep the textured relief using a dry, clean, soft-bristled brush (such as a premium makeup brush or a soft hake paintbrush).
- Humidity & Temperature: Fine art canvases thrive in stable environments. Display your painting in spaces with controlled humidity and temperature. Avoid hanging the artwork directly above heavy heat sources (like active fireplaces or radiators) or in high-moisture rooms like small, unventilated bathrooms.
- Handling: When moving or hanging your artwork, always hold it securely by the wooden stretcher bar edges. Avoid pressing directly against the center of the canvas to protect the structural tension and the delicate, raised mineral reliefs.
