Where Darkness Gives Way to Light
There is a fleeting moment before daylight fully arrives, when the landscape is suspended between shadow and illumination. Beyond Daylight captures that quiet threshold—not as a literal horizon, but as an emotional transition where darkness slowly dissolves into light.
A luminous band of textured gold stretches across the composition like the first rays of sunrise breaking through the earth's surface. Above it, deep charcoal and weathered blacks suggest the weight of the night, while soft mineral whites and warm neutral tones below introduce openness, calm, and renewal.
Rather than depicting a specific place, the painting evokes an atmosphere. It invites the viewer to pause, breathe, and experience the silent transformation that occurs every morning—when light gradually reshapes the world.
A Landscape Built Through Time
Created entirely by hand in my Barcelona studio, the artwork is built through numerous layers of mixed media using professional acrylics, structured gesso, natural wood dust, mineral compounds, and carefully developed textural techniques.
The heavily sculpted surface reflects and absorbs light throughout the day, allowing the painting to evolve with its surroundings. Fine cracks, weathered textures, and subtle reliefs create an organic landscape that feels shaped by nature rather than painted by hand.
The restrained palette of black, ivory, warm earth tones, and luminous gold balances strength with serenity, giving the work both a contemporary presence and a timeless character.
A Contemporary Statement
Beyond Daylight is designed for collectors who appreciate contemporary abstraction, architectural interiors, and the emotional power of minimalist compositions. Its calm palette and sculptural surface make it equally suited to modern homes, luxury residences, boutique hotels, executive offices, and carefully curated art collections.
This one-of-a-kind artwork is not simply about light.
It is about what happens just beyond it.

Art Care & Preservation
Art Care & Preservation
- Display & Lighting: While the archival varnish provides high-end UV protection, we highly recommend avoiding prolonged exposure to direct, harsh sunlight. To fully appreciate the shifting shadows of the sculptural gesso, display the piece under high-quality ambient lighting or dedicated LED art spotlights.
- Dusting & Cleaning: Due to the rich, sand-crusted organic texture, dust may settle over time. Never use water, liquid cleaners, damp cloths, or chemical solvents on the surface. To clean, gently sweep the textured relief using a dry, clean, soft-bristled brush (such as a premium makeup brush or a soft hake paintbrush).
- Humidity & Temperature: Fine art canvases thrive in stable environments. Display your painting in spaces with controlled humidity and temperature. Avoid hanging the artwork directly above heavy heat sources (like active fireplaces or radiators) or in high-moisture rooms like small, unventilated bathrooms.
- Handling: When moving or hanging your artwork, always hold it securely by the wooden stretcher bar edges. Avoid pressing directly against the center of the canvas to protect the structural tension and the delicate, raised mineral reliefs.
