Where Architecture Becomes Memory
Some architectural details survive long after the buildings themselves have disappeared.
Hidden Geometry is inspired by the ornamental ironwork, carved stone panels, and geometric patterns found throughout the historic architecture of southern Europe and the Mediterranean. Rather than depicting a specific place, the painting preserves the feeling of discovering an ancient architectural fragment hidden beneath layers of time.
At its center, a richly textured rust-colored geometric relief emerges from a deep charcoal surface, creating the impression of an aged decorative panel embedded within a weathered wall. The contrast between the warm oxidized tones and the dark mineral background gives the composition remarkable depth and quiet strength.
Built Like an Architectural Surface
Entirely handcrafted, the artwork is created using professional acrylics and multiple layers of mixed media to produce a heavily textured relief.
The sculptural surface combines mineral textures, weathered finishes, subtle oxidation effects, and deep tactile contrasts. As natural light moves across the painting, shadows emphasize every engraved line and geometric detail, allowing the work to evolve throughout the day.
Rather than imitating metal, the artwork evokes the timeless character of aged materials shaped by history.
Contemporary Design Inspired by Ancient Craftsmanship
Hidden Geometry brings together contemporary abstraction and architectural heritage in a refined minimalist composition.
Its restrained palette of charcoal black, oxidized rust, and warm earth tones makes it particularly suitable for industrial interiors, Mediterranean homes, contemporary architecture, minimalist spaces, boutique hotels, design studios, and collectors who appreciate texture, craftsmanship, and materiality.
More than an abstract painting, it is an architectural fragment reimagined as contemporary art.

Art Care & Preservation
Art Care & Preservation
- Display & Lighting: While the archival varnish provides high-end UV protection, we highly recommend avoiding prolonged exposure to direct, harsh sunlight. To fully appreciate the shifting shadows of the sculptural gesso, display the piece under high-quality ambient lighting or dedicated LED art spotlights.
- Dusting & Cleaning: Due to the rich, sand-crusted organic texture, dust may settle over time. Never use water, liquid cleaners, damp cloths, or chemical solvents on the surface. To clean, gently sweep the textured relief using a dry, clean, soft-bristled brush (such as a premium makeup brush or a soft hake paintbrush).
- Humidity & Temperature: Fine art canvases thrive in stable environments. Display your painting in spaces with controlled humidity and temperature. Avoid hanging the artwork directly above heavy heat sources (like active fireplaces or radiators) or in high-moisture rooms like small, unventilated bathrooms.
- Handling: When moving or hanging your artwork, always hold it securely by the wooden stretcher bar edges. Avoid pressing directly against the center of the canvas to protect the structural tension and the delicate, raised mineral reliefs.
