This work continues my exploration of texture, surface, and color relationships.
For this painting, I was interested in the contrast between warm oxidized tones and deep turquoise blues. The interaction between these colors creates a sense of depth and movement without relying on any specific subject or representation.
The surface was built through multiple layers, allowing textures, cracks, and irregular marks to become an integral part of the composition. Rather than covering these traces, I chose to preserve them as evidence of the painting process itself.
What interests me most is how materials react to one another. Some areas remain dense and textured, while others become lighter and more transparent. This balance between control and spontaneity allows unexpected visual relationships to emerge throughout the work.
The painting does not seek to describe a particular place or object. Instead, it invites the viewer to engage with color, texture, and atmosphere in a direct and personal way.
