The Concept & Architectural Grandeur
This original mixed-media artwork from the Urban Grids collection celebrates the monumental beauty, civic pride, and architectural elegance of Madrid.
At the heart of the composition stands the magnificent Madrid City Hall, originally designed by the visionary architect Antonio Palacios. Renowned for its extraordinary Neo-Plateresque façade and intricate architectural detailing, the building has become one of Madrid's most recognizable landmarks and a symbol of the city's cultural and political significance.
Complementing the composition is the iconic Cibeles Fountain, one of Madrid's most beloved monuments. Featuring the classical goddess Cybele riding her lion-drawn chariot, the fountain has long served as a symbol of the Spanish capital and remains a central gathering place in the city's collective identity.
Beneath these architectural landmarks unfolds an abstract interpretation of Madrid's historic urban fabric. Inspired by the city's avenues, plazas, and radial street network, the composition transforms the structure of Madrid into a poetic landscape of geometry, movement, and atmosphere.
The result is a refined tribute to one of Europe's great capitals—a city where history, architecture, and civic ambition converge to create a powerful and enduring urban identity.
The Artisanal Process & Fine Cotton Paper
Created in my studio, each artwork begins as a hand-pulled serigraph on premium museum-quality fine cotton paper featuring beautiful natural deckled edges.
Through a process of artist intervention, I individually enrich every piece with watercolor, acrylic, and archival inks, creating subtle variations in texture, atmosphere, and depth. Layers of transparent color, washes, and carefully controlled marks transform each work into a unique mixed-media creation.
No two artworks are ever identical. Each piece evolves beyond its original foundation and develops its own visual character while preserving the architectural precision of the original design.
Far beyond a conventional edition, every artwork is individually enhanced by the artist, ensuring that collectors acquire a truly distinctive work with its own presence and personality.

Art Care & Preservation
Art Care & Preservation
- Display & Lighting: While the archival varnish provides high-end UV protection, we highly recommend avoiding prolonged exposure to direct, harsh sunlight. To fully appreciate the shifting shadows of the sculptural gesso, display the piece under high-quality ambient lighting or dedicated LED art spotlights.
- Dusting & Cleaning: Due to the rich, sand-crusted organic texture, dust may settle over time. Never use water, liquid cleaners, damp cloths, or chemical solvents on the surface. To clean, gently sweep the textured relief using a dry, clean, soft-bristled brush (such as a premium makeup brush or a soft hake paintbrush).
- Humidity & Temperature: Fine art canvases thrive in stable environments. Display your painting in spaces with controlled humidity and temperature. Avoid hanging the artwork directly above heavy heat sources (like active fireplaces or radiators) or in high-moisture rooms like small, unventilated bathrooms.
- Handling: When moving or hanging your artwork, always hold it securely by the wooden stretcher bar edges. Avoid pressing directly against the center of the canvas to protect the structural tension and the delicate, raised mineral reliefs.
